Sun City can lay claim to having two of the best golf courses in Africa. Both courses were designed by the well-known Gary Player and offer challenging par-72 courses in extremely scenic surroundings.  We have included green fees for 18 holes at each course:

The Lost City Golf Course is a unique experience and offers spectacular views across the bushveld. The desert style design of the golf course has an exotic allure all of its own and designer, Gary Player has acknowledged it as one of his favourite courses. The Golf Course is flexible: playing off the forward tee a course length of 5 953 metres, extending to 6 983 metres off the back tee. The course provides spectacular views. Also to be noted is the use of bunkers and extensive water-features - and at the 13th hole 38 crocodiles await.  Halfway house lunch and a shared golf cart are included on this day.

The Gary Player Country Club Golf Course is acknowledged as a difficult and demanding course, and is currently rated as number 2 on the list of “Best Golf Courses in South Africa”. Since 1981 it has been home to the Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Challenge. The course requires stamina and accuracy from players.  The comparatively flat nature of the golf course is misleading - water hazards, cunningly sited bunkers and pins hidden away on kidney shaped greens makes up for the lack of gradient. Off the back markers the course measures over 7 000 metres which makes it one of the longest in the world. But a variety of tees make it possible to shorten the course and render playable for all levels of golfers.  Halfway house lunch is included on this day.

You also have one day at leisure, there is so much to see and do at Sun City; optional safaris, hot-air ballooning, elephant-back safaris and much, much more.
Overnight:  Cascades Hotel, Sun City.  (B)

Day 5:

Day 6:
Your lodge is located on the golf course, so no need to use your car during your stay at Legends.

Today, a round of golf at Legend Golf Course: The golf course is designed as an 18 hole championship golf course. It is at once the longest golf course in South Africa, providing all golfers, irrespective of their handicap, the experience of a true African challenge.  The course plays at 6,534 metres for daily play but is capable of being extended to 7,748 metres for tournaments, making it one of the longest in the world.

Set on the legendary 22 000 hectare Entabeni Safari Conservancy, the course has flowing fairways which wind through the open grasslands and dense bush.  The pristine bushveld environment has been preserved and the course remains one of the most environmentally sensitive in Africa. Each hole is a signature hole, the sheer scale of the golf course, with gently undulating greens and strategic bunkering ensures a unique golfing experience with breathtaking views of the Waterberg mountains as a backdrop.  On any given hole, a range of 5 tees allows the golf course to be set up for both professional and amateur players and creates the flexibility that one needs for an enjoyable golfing experience.  Halfway house lunch and a shared golf cart are included on this day.

The course offers an optional 19th hole: Set high up on the impressive Hanglip Mountain and accessible only by helicopter, this par 3 hole is played from a vertical height of 430 metres.  After a short, breathtaking helicopter flight, golfers have the opportunity ofteeing off from one of three tee boxes, high up on the escarpment.  With advanced technology in the form of four separate cameras and the latest tracking equipment, the golfer can follow and capture the tee shot and the flight of the ball.
Overnight:  Legend Golf & Safari Resort. (B)
